Workshop: Move with Rue

A group workshop exploring movement and touch with Artist & Composer, Rue Yi. Leave energetically lighter and perhaps with a new friend.

"Body Language is our most direct 1:1 form of communication. Together, we will explore how to communicate intentions and emotions via touch, how to be more sensitive to our body language, and how to facilitate the flow of qi (breath, energy). Our bodies are the first interface to this world and one of the ways we learn how to communicate with each other. When our realities are mediated by screens, discourse, and written word, our sensitivity to physical call and response is how we can anchor ourselves to one another."

TIME: 4-5PM 

LOCATION: Prospect Park, Brooklyn (exact location will be provided day of through the WhatsApp Group link you will receive as a digital download upon purchase - DM @friendlybureau if you have any issues)

SIZE: 20 participants

*Please note this workshop will include moments of close physical contact with other participants. Wear clothing you feel comfortable moving in and sitting on grass. This will be a shoes-off experience, socks are recommended but not necessary. 

TIERED PRICING: Sliding scale pricing is a circular, community care-based fee arrangement bringing into consideration the disparity of economic access and privilege so folks at different intersections can access the offerings. It is not a sale or discount. Each tier has a limited amount of tickets to balance out payment to the Artist.
